On Saturday, April 23rd, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, First Baptist Church of Ann Arbor (517 E. Washington) is hosting “Making Peace in a War-Torn World – A Conflict Transformation Workshop” led by Lee Ann McKenna. Ms.McKenna has spent the last 25 years traveling around the world to war zones and areas of religious, racial, ethnic, and economic strife to lead people into a process of transforming the conflict by transforming the people involved in the conflict. Her work has taken her to India, the Philippines, Sudan & South Sudan, Uganda, the Republic of Congo, Central America, and numerous other places under the auspices of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, the Fellowship of Reconcilliation International, and indigenous groups in the various countries.She is the founder and Executive Director of Partera Peacebuilders International based near Toronto in Canada. Besides her world travels she has done workshops all around Canada and has recently opened a small retreat center in a rural area north of Toronto.

You will experience some of the techniques she uses in her conflict transformation training around the world which often last for one to four weeks.
